Hi, I’m Addison, the founder of New Pathways Counseling, and my heart behind starting this practice came from a deep recognition of a need, one I saw over and over again in our community: the lack of accessible, faith-based mental health support. Through my journey, including both powerful and challenging experiences with counseling, the Lord placed a clear calling on my heart—to create a space where individuals could find healing, hope, and compassionate support rooted in truth and grace.
New Pathways was born from that vision: to walk alongside individuals, families, and children through some of life’s most painful seasons and offer a new path forward. I believe wholeheartedly in the power of clinical excellence and Spirit-led care working together. It’s my joy and honor to lead a team that not only meets people where they are but helps them move toward healing with courage, strength, and faith.
Outside of the counseling room, I love spending time with my family, enjoying the outdoors with my family. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or continuing down the road of healing, I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
I'm Ashley, intern counselor at New Pathways Counseling. My undergraduate degree is in communication disorders from Murray State University. I am working towards obtaining a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling to become a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC).
My desire to become a counselor stemmed from my experiences in and through counseling. I understand the client side of counseling and have seen how it altered unhealthy cycles of thoughts and behaviors and brought forth healing, peace, and resolution in my life. These experiences and my passion for helping people understand their struggles, led me to this field. I also felt the Lord was asking me to walk in obedience. And because of this, I am experiencing the fruitfulness of this decision and the kindness of God through it all.
Currently, I am working as a substitute teacher at a local high school and am blessed with the ability to connect with students and invest in their lives in meaningful ways. It is my hope that I can do the same here in western Kentucky!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, coffee shops, and antique stores. I look forward to the opportunity to walk alongside you or your child as you move towards healing!
I’m Kacie, I have a bachelor’s degree in education from Murray State and am currently pursuing a master’s in clinical mental health counseling. My goal is to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
For the past five years, I have taught science at Graves County Middle School. What I loved most about teaching was the privilege of learning my students’ life stories. My goal was to create a safe place so that students knew they were cared for, could talk through their problems, and express their feelings.
God’s graciousness towards me has lead me to the field of counseling. He has revealed to me both my brokenness and His healing. My brokenness brought me to counseling, but His healing met me there. God changed the direction of my life through counseling, and I cannot be more thankful. He has given me a passion for walking alongside people, and now I have the opportunity to do that here at New Pathways!
In my spare time, I enjoy listening to audiobooks, hammocking, and spending time with my friends and family. I look forward to being there with you as you grow on your journey.
Hi, I’m Emma, a Certified Social Worker (CSW) with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Louisville, a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, and a Clinical Social Work Certificate. My passion is creating a safe, supportive space where individuals can grow, heal, and thrive. For the past six years, I’ve worked at Ballard County Elementary School as a substitute teacher and tutor in the after-school program.
My journey into mental health work comes from my personal experiences and the transformative impact of therapy. I know firsthand how powerful the right support and guidance can be, which is why I’m deeply committed to providing that same care to others. My faith has been a constant source of strength, helping me navigate challenges and reinforcing my calling to walk alongside others on their healing journeys.
I believe that each person is unique, bringing their own strengths and challenges, and I strive to meet them where they are. My client-centered approach focuses on building trust, offering validation, and providing practical tools to support emotional well-being.
With faith, resilience, and the right support, healing and growth are possible. Sometimes, all it takes is a reminder of the strength and grace that already exist within.
In my free time, I love reading and spending time with my family. I look forward to walking alongside you as you navigate your journey toward healing and renewal.
Hi, I’m Shae, a clinical intern here at New Pathways Counseling. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Murray State University. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Social Work at the University of Kentucky, intending to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
My passion for walking alongside others in their healing journeys began through my work as a childcare provider for children with intellectual disabilities, behavioral challenges, and those in foster care. These experiences deepened my desire to create spaces where individuals, especially children, feel seen, valued, and safe. I’ve witnessed firsthand the powerful growth that can occur when someone is supported in a compassionate and trustworthy environment.
By God’s grace, I’ve been given the opportunity to serve individuals from all walks of life. I believe everyone faces challenges, and no one should face them alone. As a counselor, I aim to highlight each person’s unique strengths and walk with them through whatever season they’re in, offering empathy, encouragement, and hope.
Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy exercising, spending time outdoors with my husband, and hunting for good finds while thrifting. I’m honored to be part of your journey toward healing, growth, and renewal.
I’m currently completing my clinical internship here at New Pathways Counseling as I work toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA). With over 15 years of experience as a School Counselor across elementary, middle, and high school settings, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside countless students through both challenges and growth.
This is a meaningful season of transition for me. I’m stepping into a new role as a School Psychologist for Calloway County Schools while also completing my Ed.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s in Psychology, a Master’s in School Counseling, and an Ed.S. in School Counseling.
My passion lies in creating safe, supportive spaces where individuals can feel seen, heard, and empowered. I draw from my background in trauma-informed care, psychoeducational assessment, and individualized support—but above all, I strive to meet each person with compassion and a client-centered approach. I deeply value the power of connection, collaboration, and the hope that can be found even in life’s hardest seasons.
Outside of my work, I’m a proud wife and mom of four. I love running, reading, volunteering at church, and spending time outdoors with my family. I’m honored to be on this journey of growth and healing—and I look forward to walking alongside you in yours.
Hi, I’m Lisa! I’m the Office Administrator here at New Pathways Counseling.
Before joining the team, I spent many years working in an optometry office, where I had the opportunity to connect with people of all ages and walks of life.
Outside of work, I enjoy thrift store shopping, organizing just about anything, and soaking up the sunshine—whether it’s on walks with my husband or relaxing at the beach whenever we get the chance.
My favorite times are those spent with our two grown sons and their families, especially making memories with our sweet grandson—and, of course, spoiling our grand-dogs.
I look forward to helping New Pathways clients feel welcomed from the very start.
Rather than adopting a cultural norm of wearing a mask to pretend like everything is just fine, I’ll walk alongside you as you learn the value and power of being vulnerable and honest.
