What we help you work through:

Individual counseling is a one-on-one space where you can slow down, process what you’re going through, and begin to make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

Sessions are guided by your needs—we’ll talk through what’s been weighing on you, build practical tools, and work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right.

What makes our approach different is the balance of clinical skill and genuine care, so you feel both supported and understood every step of the way.

A note on how we operate: We are a private-pay practice, allowing for more personalized care without the limitations of insurance. Sessions are typically scheduled every other week, and we’ll work with you to find a rhythm that feels consistent and supportive.

Getting started is easier than you think.

Your first therapy session will typically involve a discussion about your reasons for seeking therapy, your current emotional state, and any goals you may have for therapy. As your therapist, I may also ask you some questions about your personal history and background to better understand your situation.

Yes, therapy often involves discussing personal information, including your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. However, it's important to remember that therapy is a safe and confidential space, and your therapist is there to support you.

The length of therapy can vary depending on a number of factors, including the nature of the issue being addressed, the individual's goals for therapy, the therapist's approach and techniques, and the individual's progress. In some cases, therapy may only last a few sessions, while in other cases, it may continue for several months or even years.

It's important to note that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution, and the length of therapy will be unique to each individual's needs and circumstances. For some people, a short-term, focused approach may be appropriate, while for others, a longer-term, more in-depth approach may be necessary.

Ultimately, the length of therapy will be determined by the individual and their therapist, based on their progress and the goals they hope to achieve through therapy. It's important to be open and honest with your therapist about your expectations and goals, and to communicate regularly about your progress and any concerns or challenges you may be facing. This can help ensure that you are getting the most out of your therapy experience and that you are on track to achieving your desired outcomes.

Yes, we offer teletherapy sessions for Kentucky-based clients who are unable to come to the office in-person. Teletherapy sessions are only available to clients within the state of Kentucky.

Private pay means we do not accept health insurance. This allows us much more freedom and client directed sessions in the comforts of a low-trafficked office. While we do not accept insurance, we can provide you with a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

We use a consistent “slot system,” meaning you’ll meet every other week on the same day and time. This makes scheduling simple and predictable, so you always know when your next session is. It also helps create a steady rhythm that supports meaningful progress.

We ask that you give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer that time to another client in need. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a late cancellation fee.

more about the team

Our team is intentionally small, creating a space where we can support one another well—and that care naturally extends to the clients we serve. We are committed to growing, learning, and challenging each other so we can show up as the best, most present counselors for you. At New Pathways, you’re not just meeting with one person—you’re supported by a team that truly cares about your growth.

The people who'll walk with you.

I have learned so much about myself and why I think/feel the way I do and how it affects me, my family and my other relationships. I am so thankful for Kacie, and for New Pathways.

"Finding a therapist/agency who balances Biblical truth with psychology is rare and really beautiful. "

I firmly believe everyone needs counseling at some level and New Pathways has given me so much hope! EMDR has changed my life. I love all of the staff I've encountered. My therapist, Kacie, has been phenomenal.

""Hands down recommend to everyone I know."

Through this process, I’ve found clarity, healing, and peace. Most importantly, EMDR opened the door for me to truly understand and believe how deeply the Lord loves me—as His child, fully known and fully accepted.

"EMDR therapy has truly changed my life. It helped me break free from the lies my brain was feeding me for years."

My daughter is getting the help she needs from Kacie which is a fantastic person. Lisa is so helpful in anything you need she is there. Pathway was a God sent to us and we are very thankful! Would definitely recommend!

"Everyone is fantastic! Everyone is very personal and makes you feel like family!"

They take time to listen and truly consider who I am as a person to provide individualized treatment and care. I’m so glad I found New Pathways, and I don’t know where I’d be without them. I can’t recommend these two enough!

"Addison and Jessi are my dynamic duo. They both make me feel heard and supported with their care."
